Kusum Yoga Portland

Yoga will be offered at A Space for Grace by teachers from Kusum Institute Yoga on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon starting September 3, 2014. These one hour classes will be therapeutic breath- and flow-based Ashtanga yoga aimed at fostering more physical ease and mental relaxation. Individualized modifications will be offered so that everyone is challenged yet comfortable. If you are a beginner, we will help get you going and if you are experienced, we will offer you options to deepen your practice. Kusum Room Opens September 7

We are very pleased to announce the opening of our new additional location: the Kusum Room located at 18 Pepperell Square in Saco, ME. Classes start Monday, September 8.

9:00 am Ashtanga Yoga with Penny
6:15 pm Ashtanga Yoga with Beth


5:00 pm Beginners Ashtanga Yoga with Hilary
6:15 pm Dharma Vinyasa Yoga with Gisele

Joins Gisele and take a break from all that Ashtanga. Dharma Vinyasa Yoga emphasizes different poses and alignment. This class is for those with some experience.


9:30 am Hip Yoga with Penny

Hip Yoga is slow-paced and relaxing as we focus on deep breathing and release. All the poses are done on the floor with props and supports so that absolutely everyone is able to participate. Perfect if your ARE hip or HAVE hips.

5:30 pm Ashtanga Yoga with Sam
7:00 pm Slo Mo Flo Yo with Jeanne

Slow it down, take a few more breaths in the transitions, ease into the poses. This class is great for beginners! Those with more experience can really deepen their practice.


6:15 pm Ashtanga Yoga Primary and Second Series with Penny

New! As in the other Ashtanga classes, we will begin with Sun Salutations and the Standing Poses and end with the Closing Sequence. In between, we will explore the Second Series and deepen our practice of the Primary Series. The class is for those with some experience with Ashtanga yoga.
